Nordic Camping & Resort is a fast-growing Scandinavian hospitality company that are looking to fundamentally change its own industry. In a traditional and fragmented area such as camping, there is huge potential to drive change by introducing digital sales and distribution, but also by enhancing the customer experience by exploring new technologies at the actual campsites. Nordic Camping are therefore focusing on digital marketing (SoMe, Google Ads etc), online sales and CRO via the own website and Online Travel Agencies (Booking.com etc) and automating key pain points at the campsites such as the check-in process. The company is owned by a Privat Equity fund and it has a very exciting expansion agenda for the coming years. Both through organic growth and M&A, within Sweden and internationally.
As a Digital Marketing Intern, the candidate would ensure that the Nordic Camping website and other digital channels are frequently updated with inspiring and engaging content, with main focus to drive conversion on the site but also to encourage last minute bookings directly at the campsites during the very important summer months. The key areas would be to produce inspiring content & campaigns, and to publish it on the site, distribute approx. one newsletter per week, create Facebook content (ads & in the companies Facebook groups) and to monitor key web KPIs such as traffic and conversion. If interested, the Intern could also work closely with optimising and monitor digital ads (Google, Bing & Facebook). Since the central marketing team is quite small, the intern will be given lots of room for ownership of the given tasks, alongside with close support when needed. The Digital Marketing Intern will be a key player during this summer, having direct impact on the Nordic Camping sales results for 2019.
The Intern will report to the company Digital Marketing Manager, be based in Stockholm at the office at Karlaplan and be part of an entrepreneurial team covering all aspects of sales and marketing from the central office.
The profile we are looking for is that of an entrepreneur, who is creative and likes to produce content, and at the same time is analytical and is triggered by seeing direct results in facts and figures. We need, therefore, to find someone with a lot of drive and energy but also has or can pick up skills such as building simple HTML emails, draw insights from Google Analytics and build ads in Facebook. Curiosity and agility will be key, to take new ideas to market, test and learn and build on these learnings. In interest in camping and spending leisure time outdoor across Sweden is a plus, but not a necessity. Our website is built in wordpress and previous experience of the CMS is a plus. The website is also multilingual and language skills in English and German is a plus
